What we do

Accountancy

Year-end accounts, bookkeeping, management reporting and the day-to-day numbers a small business needs to make decisions with.

Property tax consultancy

Landlords, second properties, capital gains, SDLT, refurbishment relief. We work out what applies before you sign anything, not after.

General tax

Self Assessment, corporation tax, VAT and the planning that sits around them. Returns filed on time, with the reliefs you are actually entitled to.

Inheritance tax

Lifetime planning, trusts, business and agricultural relief, gifting strategy. Aimed at families who would rather decide now than leave it for HMRC to decide later.

Business management consulting

Pricing, cash flow, structure, succession. The view of an experienced accountant brought in as a sounding board for the owner, not as a layer of overhead.

Probate

Estate administration, grant applications and the inheritance tax return that goes with it. Steady, careful work at a difficult time for the family.

Why a smaller firm

Most owner-managed businesses do not need a big firm. They need somebody who answers the phone, gives a straight answer, and remembers what was discussed last quarter. Allied Accounting Services is built around that.

You deal directly with Mark Spyrou. No account managers in between, no junior staff learning on your file. That keeps things faster and keeps fees sensible.

One honest caveat: a small firm is not the right fit if you need a full audit team or a 24-hour international tax desk. For everyone else, smaller is usually better.
